    Mental Health and Culturally Competent Care in the AAPI Community

    On Wednesday, November 8, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. (EST), the American Psychiatric Association Foundation (APAF) will host a free virtual town hall: Mental Health and Culturally Competent Care in the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Community. The town hall highlights APA’s Asian American Trailblazers in Psychiatry exhibit and raises awareness of the mental health issues faced by the AAPI community. Topics of discussion will include the historical context and experiences of the AAPI community, the intersection of culture and mental health, and the importance of culturally competent care. Resources dedicated to AAPI mental health and well-being will be provided.
